The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) is making the process of setting up a company much easier by reducing the registration fee from $5,000 to $500. The move is aimed at supporting startups, small and medium-sized businesses, and international companies seeking to enter the Qatari market. The QFC’s latest move underlines the country’s commitment to creating a favourable environment for entrepreneurs and investors.

As part of their strategic partnership, Qatar and India have signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting trade, investment and technological innovation. The new agreements pave the way for collaboration in energy, startup ecosystems, fintech, artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

In the private sector, 90% of business leaders in Qatar have adopted GenAI technologies in 2024, which is higher than the global average.

The UK and Qatar have set up a joint research commission on artificial intelligence. The commission will build on the technological progress made by both countries and identify practical ways to collaborate on AI, in line with both countries' technology strategies for 2030
