DMCC Launches SPV and Holding Licenses: Alternative to ADGM and DIFC
The DMCC Free Zone has announced the launch of new types of licenses for SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) and holding companies that do not require the rental of a physical office.
Why is this important?
This is important news for those looking for affordable asset structuring solutions in the UAE.
Traditionally, the ADGM and DIFC jurisdictions have been used to register SPVs in the UAE. Now, DMCC offers an alternative that offers the following benefits:
- The license costs about USD 1,000 per year.
- No office rental is required - the official address will be the address of the registered agent.
- Registration takes only 5-7 business days.
Who are these licenses suitable for?
- For holding companies
- To structure family assets
- To launch investment projects and startups
- For structuring joint ventures
Registration is carried out through authorized agents.
