No to the template approach
We understand that Fintech and Crypto are not just trends, but revolutionary areas that require non-standard solutions. We help clients predict changes in legislation and promptly respond to new challenges.
Leaders in Crypto Regulation and Licensing in the UAE
We were one of the first to help a client obtain a VARA license in the UAE shortly after the legislation changed. A VARA (Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority) license is a license issued in the UAE to companies working with virtual assets such as cryptocurrencies, tokens, and other blockchain products.
International experience
Our team has extensive experience working with clients from various countries and jurisdictions, which allows us to successfully solve problems in the field of commercial and labor law, taking into account international standards. We take into account the cultural, legal and business features of different markets, providing our clients with legal support adapted to their global goals and needs.
Our services
We help to start a business in the UAE and the Gulf countries, and also provide support on a wide range of issues.
Our cases
Support for the launch of an international platform for communication between freelancers and contractors in the UAE
We analyzed the crypto regulation legislation, requirements and restrictions potentially applicable to the client's service, selected the best options for free zones and licenses, and proposed a structure for contractual relations regarding the operation of the service. During the analysis, we actively communicated with various UAE authorities and free zone regulators to obtain information that is not distributed in public sources. We prepared documents to obtain approval from the Dubai mega-regulator VARA, including a detailed business plan and an application for a license.
Development and implementation of a set of measures to control nominee shareholders and directors of a group of Crypto companies in the UAE
We developed and implemented a set of measures to control all nominal shareholders and directors of companies in order to avoid leakage of personal data, embezzlement of assets and the removal of the client from the management of the company. All measures were developed taking into account the specifics of the UAE legislation and regulation in a specific Free Zone so that these measures could not be challenged and each of the control mechanisms on the part of the client could be implemented independently and without involving other parties to a possible conflict.
Selection of jurisdiction and support for obtaining a license for cryptocurrency mining in the UAE
Conducted a comparative analysis of UAE jurisdictions where cryptocurrency mining activities are possible, as a result of which the client chose incorporation in DMCC. Prepared an application and provided full support to the client in the process of obtaining VARA (Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority) permission to conduct mining activities.
Preparation of an application and full support of the process of obtaining a VARA (Virtual Asset Service Provider) cryptolicense for a Crypto company
Conducted a thorough analysis of the requirements in terms of legal, technical and operational aspects. Prepared 65+ different documents for the crypto license application and provided recommendations for system preparation to ensure that the company's system meets all the requirements set for the VARA license. This included making software changes, strengthening security systems and implementing additional features.
Establishing a Video Game Museum in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
Conducted an analysis of international agreements, national legislation of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the USA to protect the company's rights from potential claims by copyright holders, assessing their impact on the project. Prepared flow charts with illustrations of when the use of someone else's intellectual property in a project is a violation, and when it is not, as well as what strategy should be chosen when building relationships with a specific copyright holder.
Crypto Token Launch in Bahrain
We advised the client on the choice of jurisdiction for the rapid and legal release of crypto-tokens certifying the right of claim (real-world asset tokenization). Bahrain was proposed as one of the strategic options. We conducted a detailed analysis of its regulation, described the requirements for the launch of tokens and the legal structure of the project. Based on our analysis, the client selected this jurisdiction and implemented the project independently.
